|20230501| Magical Encounters: Sperm Whales and Bottlenose Dolphins!

What a great trip! Thank you for supporting our research and helping us collect data on sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and bottlenose dolphins (Turiops truncatus).

We traveled to the north of Faial to find a group of sperm whales deep diving while searching for prey. We also sighted a group of bottlenose dolphins bow riding and transiting nearby. Amazing!
