|ENG| If someone said that we were going to see a humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) during this expedition, no one from the crew will believe it! Early morning and the team of Naturalists left to see a group of sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) that were getting close to Capelinhos Vulcano. |29052021| Massive pod of common dolphins
|ENG| Today at sea we had the perfect conditions, the sea was completely flat. The only thing missing was the sun! On our way to see a group of sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus), we found a small group of common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) that were very playful. We stayed only for a few minutes because the sperm whales were getting further away. When we arrived we saw 1 and then 2 and then 3 sperm whales.
