|27-08-2019 2 pm| Socializing Sperm whales in the North

The lookout found a group af Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) in the North of the channel between Faial and Pico islands. The group had been diving during the morning but in the afternoon we saw them geting back together and socialize. At least 8 whales were there.


We also saw a pod of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) with a newborn and an other pod of Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis).
