|20230518| Resident species of the Azores!

Thank you for supporting our research and help us collect data!

This morning , we had the chance to see a group of sperm whales (𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘴), Risso's dolphins (𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘴) and bottlenose dolphins (𝘛𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘱𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴).

In the afternoon, we saw two resident species here in the Azores: sperm whales (𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘴) and common dolphins (Delphinus delphis).

Cory's shearwater (𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴) and portuguese man O'war (𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴) were also spotted during both trips, which are very common in this waters.

What a great day!

Hope you enjoyed it and see you next time!
