|19-07-2019| Sperm whales and Atlantic-spotted dolphins in Faial, Azores

It was a windy day, but the lookouts found Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) in the North of Faial island, so we put our waterproof clothes on and went to find them! As a last surprise, a pod of 80 Atlantic-spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) appeared and add some extra smiles to our explorers' faces and some extra data to our notebooks.
