Great expedition today! Thanks to you we managed to collect data for our monitoring programs, including sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis).

The group of sperm whales that we saw today has been staying around the north of Faial already for a couple of weeks. The group has at least 3 different females and one calf.

We also saw a huge group of spotted dolphins, that found us!

Grande expedição hoje! Graças a vós conseguimos recolher dados para os nossos programas de monitorização ambiental, incluindo cachalotes (Physeter macrocephalus) e golfinhos pintados (Stenella frontalis).

O grupo de cachalotes que avistámos hoje, tem andado pela costa norte do Faial já há algumas semanas. O grupo tem pelo menos três fêmeas e uma cria!

Também avistámos um grupo de golfinhos pintados que nos encontrou enquanto esperávamos por outro cachalote!
