After 5 minutes of leaving Horta, we found a pod of 30 Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). After some minutes for image collection and behavior description (they were hunting fish), we moved towards North as there were whales there. When arriving, the surprise was that those whales were Northern bottlenose whales (Hyperoodon ampullatus): an impressive sighting of the largest beaked whale species!
