|11-07-2019 pm| Sperm whales and Sowerby's beaked whales in the South of Faial Island
During the afternoon expedition of the 11th of July we observed a group of 8-9 Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and a pod of Sowerby's beaked whales (Mesoplodon bidens). Beaked whales are difficult to find, so we were very happy with the encounter.
