|20230516| One of the best days of the year so far!
Thank you for supporting our research and helping us collect data!
On this amazing day, with New Scientist group, we had a good sighting of 2 blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus). Closer to Pico island we saw some orcas (𝑂𝑟𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑠 𝑜𝑟𝑐𝑎) feeding on a turtle and a unique interaction with risso's dolphins (𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘴). We were also able to see 2 humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae), Cory's shearwater (𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴) and Portuguese Man O'War (𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴)!
In the expedition of the sunset tour, we saw a breathing humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae), common dolphins (Delphinus delphis), Cory's shearwater (𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴) and Portuguese Man O'War (𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴)!
What a amazing day!
