|20230410| The big blue!

What a great day! Thanks to you, we were able to collect data on beautiful species such as blue whale and common dolphins.

In the morning, the sun shinned brightly in the sky as we traveled to the south of Pico Island searching for the whale that the spotters had reported. On the way, a small pod of juvenile common dolphins greeted us with their nice colors, to get our trip started in the best way! Further from the coast, we finally found it: a beautiful blue whale was slowly transiting, giving us the chance to admire it for a while. What a sight! As we made our way back, more common dolphins appeared near our boat, and we also had the opportunity to see two loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta).
