|24-09-2019| 4 species of cetaceans after a windy week

Updated: Sep 30, 2019

After a week of bad weather conditions, finally, we went out to the ocean.

The Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) were far away towards the South of Pico island. But luckily, there were Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) and Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba) in the way. After the Sperm whales, a pod of Short-finned pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) was on our way back.

Thank you all for joining our team. You can enjoy and share the pictures that our biologist Maria took during the expedition.
