What a great trip! Thank you for supporting our research and helping us collect data on common dolphin (Delphinus delphis).
We traveled towards the north of Faial and had the chance of seeing a big pod of common dolphins actively searching for prey, surrounded by Cory’s Shearwaters (Calonectris borealis)
We also had the opportunity to see a Portuguese Man O’War (Physalia physalis) that caught a puffer fish with its very toxic dactylzooids, the organism of the colony responsible for capturing and harvesting food. What a sight!
