Great expedition today! Thanks to you we managed to collect data for our monitoring programs.
We had an incredible expedition with so many species and emotions!
We start our trip with the sighting of sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) that were deep diving. After we saw a small group of pilot whales, we believe it was the species Globicephala macrorhyncus.
The surprise of the expedition was a sei whale (Balaenoptera borealis) in a feeding freezing together with a huge group of spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) and a lot of cory's shearwater (Calonectris borealis).
We could even see the fish inside the whale's mouth! Check our photos below!

Grande expedição hoje! Graças a vós conseguimos recolher dados para os nossos programas de monitorização ambiental.
A expedição começou com o avistamento de cachalotes (Physeter macrocephalus) que estavam a fazer os seus mergulhos profundos. Posteriormente, vimos um grupo de baleias piloto, pensamos que sejam da espécie Globicephala macrorhyncus.
A melhor surpresa desta expedição foi o avistamento de uma baleia sardinheira (Balaenoptera borealis) em alimentação, em conjunto com um grupo enorme de golfihos pintados (Stenella frontalis) e vários cagarros (Calonectris borealis)!
