Morning and afternoon expeditions with Sperm whales (Physeter macrocephalus) and Short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) made our day. You will find some of the pictures below. Enjoy!
SPERM WHALES
In the morning, we observed a pod of sperm whales, in this case south of Pico as in the images below.
Image below shows a large female with white head, the lider of the pod observed socializing in the afternoon north of Faial Island.
